Emmerdale’s Moira Dingle star went topless for X-rated sex scene before soap fame

Emmerdale’s Natalie J. Robb is a regular on the ITV soap – but before her Dales stint she went totally topless for a saucy scene.

Since 2009, the 49-year-old has played the iconic Moira Dingle and has become a firm favourite with viewers. So much so, that she’s been nominated for a slew of awards over the years.

Moira has had many ups and downs in the Dales, including marrying into the Dingle clan and her beloved daughter overdosing on drugs. And of course the character’s countless steamy affairs.

Prior to her stint on Emmerdale though, Natalie had roles in a range of TV shows and films. In 2001, she took on the role of Jude Carlyle in the BBC daytime soap Doctors – which is where her soap opera career began.

Natalie plays Moira on EmmerdaleJumping from the BBC to ITV she then got cast in The Bill and played the role of an undercover journalist posing as PC Andrea Dunbar. Hopping back to the BBC she popped up in EastEnders in July 2006 as Gemma Clewes, Max Branning’s mistress. And three years later she could be seen in Waterloo Road as a school counsellor.

An ex-criminal Danny (James Young) then joins the restaurant where he ends up having an affair with his probation officer’s wife Grace, played by Natalie. As expected things end badly with a ton of drama packed within its run-time.

In the flick, Natalie went totally topless as her beau Danny in the movie performed a sex act on her. With his head nestled in the duvet, the character Grace then climaxed.

Danny then appeared from under the duvet before they locked lips. The pair then smoked a cigarette after their steamy bedroom session – but that wasn’t the only romp in the movie.

Later on in the movie, Danny and Grace were at it again. And this time, they took part in a raunchy romp in the back of the restaurant in the store room.

After her stint in BBC’s Waterloo road Natalie landed her most prominent TV role in Emmerdale as Moira Barton – the feisty character we all know and love today. In 2009 she joined the soap as the head of new farming family, the Bartons. With Natalie making her Emmerdale debut on our screens in July.

Natalie was previously dated Emmerdale co-star, Jonny McPherson, who plays hunky Doctor Liam Cavanagh in the ITV soap. The actors shocked fans when they found out that the pair had moved in together during the first lockdown in 2020.

Jonny previously spoke about their relationship to The Mirror when he said: “We had to make a decision as lots of couples did. We decided to move in together and so, yes, lockdown did fast forward our relationship.

“We get on so well. We come from quite different backgrounds but we are essentially the same person. We are both a pair of big kids. We have exactly the same stupid humour.”

The two Emmerdale actors announced they had parted ways last summer in 2021. Since calling it quits, Jonny has reportedly moved into his own boat with his dog Molly.
