The daughter of writer Kay Mellor has revealed her mum left a treasure trove of TV scripts when she died two years ago.
The Fat Friends writer, pictured with daughter Gaynor Faye, left more than £13.2million to her family after she died suddenly in May 2022 – just days after her 71st birthday.
Ms Faye, who has starred in Emmerdale and Coronation Street, told the BBC a new TV series could be in the works. She added: ‘She’s got scripts she put in a drawer and said there’s always a time and a place for it.’

She won the Writers’ Guild Award for Outstanding Contribution to Writing in 2014.
‘Everything my mum wrote will be used,’ Ms Faye said.
