In a flashback to 2019, viewers will recall how Alina was trafficked into the UK and forced to work at a nail salon, with her passport confiscated to prevent her escape. Now, with her trial ongoing, Alina has decided to stay in Weatherfield a bit longer, with Tyrone offering her and Doran accommodation at the Chariot Square Hotel.
The drama escalates as Hope, who has been struggling with teenage turmoil—including a breakup with her boyfriend Sam Blakeman and a new infatuation with her neighbor Jack Webster—seems disinterested in Doran. Her recent request for contraception further strains her relationship with her parents.
As Alina starts receiving threatening phone calls, she suspects the traffickers are trying to intimidate her. However, Tyrone quickly accuses Hope of being behind the harassment, leading to a heated confrontation. Despite Hope’s vehement denial of any wrongdoing, the tension mounts.
Meanwhile, Fiz is infuriated with Tyrone over a large bill, which turns out to be related to a legal consultation about Doran’s custody. The situation worsens when Tyrone suggests that Alina and Doran might move to Weatherfield permanently, reigniting Fiz’s fears about their past relationship and her own place in Tyrone’s life.
As the week progresses, Alina’s anxiety grows as she believes she’s being watched. The tension reaches a peak when a menacing figure bursts into her hotel room, threatening her just before her court appearance.
