Home and Away spoilers follow for Australian-paced episodes, which some UK viewers may prefer to avoid.

Things are about to get awkward in Summer Bay when Home and Away‘s Bree Cameron goes on a date after her split from Remi Carter.

In new scenes airing this week in Australia, Bree assures Remi she’s fine to see him with his new girlfriend, movie star Stevie, though it seems that he isn’t completely over their relationship.

In upcoming episodes, Stevie realises Cash Newman isn’t going to leave Summer Bay so decides to move her film crew to town, including director Nelson, who’s immediately interested in Bree.

Despite telling him that she’s just got out of a serious relationship, Nelson gives her his number. It doesn’t take long for Bree to reconsider and agree on a date.

The situation takes a weird turn when Nelson spots Remi and Stevie and invites them to join him and Bree thinking this would make her feel less nervous – clearly unaware of her history with Remi.

Viewers in the UK will have to wait until June to see the latest developments.

Speaking on his character Remi’s relationship with Bree, actor Adam Rowland told TV Week, it’s going to be “hard” for the two exes to move on.

“It’s hard to have finality or closure on a love like theirs,” he said.

“They’ve been through a hell of a ride. This will take time.”

Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
