Rose Delaney and Mali Hudson’s romance hits the rocks in upcoming scenes for Home and Away viewers in the UK.
In episodes airing on Channel 5 in the UK on March 25 and March 26, Rose is a little nervous ahead of her first day in her new Senior Constable role (taking over from Cash Newman), despite her half-brother Xander and her partner Mali throwing their support behind her.
Mali’s encouraging but Rose feels overwhelmed by her new duties and cuts short their planned lunch at The Diner.

When Rose abandons their evening plans to work late, Mali couldn’t help but feel rejected. He leaves for work before she wakes up and declines her offer to get coffee the next day, hinting at being busy too.
Later, he leaves her a message apologising, but it’s clear Rose’s promotion is already taking a toll on their relationship.
Meanwhile, Mackenzie Booth tells Mali the full truth about her personal life dramas. In a recent storyline, she slept with her married doctor Levi Fowler, but she isn’t on board with being the other woman. Mali is determined to help Mac, and suggests they get some fresh air.

They run into Rose at the beach, and Mackenzie gives the couple space, but they cannot make up. Rose is too busy with her new job to give Mali time, but he insists she can’t be too busy if she’s out getting a coffee.
After an abrupt parting, Rose later meets Mali to finish their conversation.
She’s confused by seeing him so worried about Mackenzie. For his part, Mali wishes he could tell Rose the whole truth about Mac’s affair with Levi, but he’s sworn to secrecy. As they pair are having a chat, Mackenzie interrupts them, asking for a ride home.
Mali accepts, leaving Rose puzzled as to why she’s not his priority.
Back at home, Mackenzie advises him to spend time with his girlfriend, but he declines, determined to tackle one crisis at a time.
