Home and Away has revealed dramatic scenes for Dana Matheson as she makes an enemy of Summer Bay newcomer Bronte.
Dana finds herself in terrible danger in next week’s Australian-pace episodes after realising that Bronte is lying to Irene Roberts.
Earlier this week, Bronte arrived in the Bay after a chance meeting with Irene in the city.
Kind-hearted Irene announced that Bronte would be staying at her place for a while, as she was seriously unwell and had nobody else to rely on.
Bronte later claimed that she’d received test results indicating that her illness is terminal, with costly experimental treatment her only real chance at tackling it.
While Irene was full of sympathy for her new friend, viewers saw Bronte make secret phone calls to an unknown contact, confirming that she was scamming Irene and saw her as a “pushover”.
Home and Away‘s newest trailer now shows this storyline taking a worrying turn as Irene and Leah Patterson unite to offer Bronte financial support.
The friends inform Bronte that they plan to give her $50,000, leaving her delighted by how gullible they both are.
Not everybody is fooled so easily, though, as Dana confronts Bronte and accuses her of faking her illness.
Bronte’s demeanour immediately changes as she smugly challenges Dana to prove her theory.
When Dana gets too close to the truth, Bronte teams up with her accomplice to kidnap the suspicious nurse and hold her captive.
It’s the second time that Dana has been kidnapped in the past 12 months, as she was previously held hostage by corrupt cop DS Madden last year.
With Dana out of the way, are Irene and Leah about to hand over their savings to a con artist?
