Home and Away is set to tease a new love interest for Remi Carter in upcoming scenes.
Following his ex-girlfriend Bree Cameron’s decision to make him jealous by flirting with Levi Fowler at Salt, Remi finds himself charmed by newcomer Stevie Marlow (Catherine Văn-Davies) in scenes which will air next week in Australia.
Famous movie star Stevie had recently arrived in Summer Bay after hiring Cash Newman to be her bodyguard to keep her safe from a stalker.
However Stevie’s decision to move in with Cash hasn’t gone down well with his girlfriend Eden Fowler, who’s concerned about having a celebrity living in such close proximity to her boyfriend.
Worried for the future of her relationship, Eden decides to keep tabs on Stevie’s every move as well as confiding her fears in best friend Remi.
However , unbeknownst to Eden, her decision to confide her friend will ultimately keep her relationship with Cash safe – but at the expense of another couple as Stevie later sets her sights on a potential romance with Remi.
Speaking about the possible connection between the pair, Văn-Davies revealed to TV WEEK that she believes Remi is the perfect person to let her step away from her movie star persona.
“Stevie and Cash are the perfect odd couple, but when it comes to matters of the heart, she stumbles on a more compatible option shall we say,” the actress explained.
“So much of Stevie’s image, career and – thanks to her stalker – life is so strictly controlled, she see’s a potential for freedom: a chance to be herself with Remi and not just a star.”
Could Stevie’s charms win over a vulnerable Remi?
Meanwhile Bree’s flirting will cause more than heartache for Remi, with a suspicious Eden questioning if brother is having an affair with the doctor after seeing them together – unaware that Levi is actually secretly involved with Mackenzie Booth.
