Bree struggles to leave Remi in the past, despite Kirby’s attempts to encourage her to focus on her romantic future. But Bree and Kirby turn the other way when Stevie Marlow and her entourage arrive back in the Bay, and she is very much in Remi’s arms.
Bree is looking for ways to help move on and her discussions with Kirby about the perfect boyfriend conclude such a man does not exist.
Elsewhere, Roo confronts Alf, concerned that his opinion about her foster caring is something he should have spoken to her directly about. They unpack his concerns for Roo taking on such a big responsibility given her history, but she takes it as a lack of faith in her.
Late at night, Kirby catches Remi to ask his intentions with dating Stevie, but he’s convinced through interactions with Bree they’re both moving on. Kirby bashfully approaches Bree with this, but Bree has found a welcome distraction in a romantic stroll along the beach with the handsome film director, Nelson.
Meanwhile, Stevie puts Remi in charge of entertaining her film crew guests while she hatches a plan. She surprisingly shows up on Cash’s doorstep, charming him into letting her take him for a drink. This turns out to be an ambush, as when Stevie and Cash arrive, she introduces him to her crew. Her true intentions are revealed to Cash: if he won’t come to work with her as her security guard elsewhere, she’ll bring the film to Summer Bay.
Cash explains that Stevie is safe now and she doesn’t need him, but she won’t let it go. She returns to him later, explaining that she only feels safe when Cash is around. Sure enough, Cash is shaking hands with the crew – more proof that Stevie Marlow always gets what she wants. Elsewhere, Roo confronts Alf, concerned that his opinion about her foster caring is something he should have spoken to her directly about. They unpack his concerns for Roo taking on such a big responsibility given her history, but she takes it as a lack of faith in her. It’s later in the night when Roo makes her position on fostering clear. She insists this is not a decision based on a whim, and she won’t be changing her mind on it. Over a cup of tea, Alf is reassuring – of course he’s going to help her make this a reality.
