Stevie is bursting with excitement about shooting her new movie in Summer Bay, but there’s a problem – she can’t track down Nelson, her director. It turns out that he’s busy getting to know Bree and they have clear chemistry – by the end of their hangout, he’s offering his number.
Bree hesitates, telling Nelson that she’s fresh out of a serious relationship and isn’t looking to rush into anything. Nelson understands and reassures her that they’re just getting to know each other.
When Stevie finally gets eyes on Nelson, she gives him an earful about how she’s been looking all over for him and they have a lot of work to do. Remi and Bree end up face to face, with their new flings beside them, and it’s awkward.
Remi tries not to react to the looks between Nelson and his ex. When he tells Kirby about the encounter, he insists he’s just happy that Bree is happy.
Bree and Kirby try to have a girls’ day out by the beach. However, their plans are t hwarted when, in an attempt to convince Nelson of her vision, Stevie drags him and Remi there too. She acts out the climactic scene from the new romcom, landing a kiss on Remi in full view of Bree. It’s enough to convince Bree that if he’s moving on, she can too. She dials Nelson’s number and agrees to go on that date. Things are off to a great start, until they run into Stevie and Remi again. Nelson, unaware of all the messy connections in the group, invites them to join. Remi and Bree try to protest, but there’s no escape from Stevie’s enthusiasm. With no other choice, Remi sits down silently next to Bree, with the two of them ready for an excruciating double date. How is this going to play out?
