Home and Away spoilers follow.
Home and Away star Matt Evans has officially confirmed that one character will be killed off as part of the soap’s shooting storyline.
The show recently revealed that a shooting will occur in Summer Bay, with a preview clip teasing the arrival of “a stranger in the Bay”.
Speaking on Australia’s The Morning Show, Matt – who plays Theo Poulos on the series – confirmed to viewers that someone will die.
“All I can say is next week a stranger will come into the Bay and someone will die,” he told the camera.
In the recent teaser clip, fans are shown a blurred figure on the beach carrying a black case, before residents are seen fleeing.
“I need an ambulance and police to Summer Bay,” Alf Stewart then declares, before police undertake a manhunt to catch the culprit. Viewers are also shown flashes of several popular characters fleeing.
Those who could be in danger are Mackenzie Booth, Cash Newman, Remi Carter, Dana Matheson and Leah Patterson.
The clip ends with Felicity Newman telling ex Tane Parata over the phone: “There’s been a shooting, and whoever’s done it hasn’t been found yet,” before he is seen chasing after the likely suspect.
The storyline may or may not be connected to the Stevie Marlow stalking storyline, which has seen the film star threatened by a fan obsessed with her.
