“Who will make it?” a narrator asks viewers.
Among those who could be in danger are Mackenzie Booth, Cash Newman, Remi Carter, Dana Matheson and even newlywed Leah Patterson – though others could certainly fall victim to this mysterious shooter.
The cryptic footage caps off with Felicity Newman phoning her ex, Tane Parata, to tell him about the shooting as he prepares for his court hearing over baby Maia.
“There’s been a shooting, and whoever’s done it hasn’t been found yet,” Felicity reports.
Tane is then shown chasing after a possible suspect, though he may be putting himself directly into the shooter’s line of fire.
It remains to be seen whether the shooting could tie into Stevie Marlow’s stalking storyline, where viewers have seen her threatened on numerous occasions by an obsessed fan.
Fans in Australia will see these scenes play out on screen next week, and they’ll be transmitted in the UK a bit later this year.
It has already been an exciting few weeks in Summer Bay, with even more to look forward to on the horizon at UK pace – including some familiar faces attending the long-awaited wedding of Justin Morgan and Leah.
Elsewhere in the Bay, Tane will worry his loved ones in scenes airing next week in the UK, as he runs away with baby Maia.
