Home and Away spoilers follow for UK viewers.
Felicity Newman will close the door on a potential reunion with Tane Parata on Home and Away next week.
The couple became disillusioned in their marriage in recent months, but gave into temptation as they hooked up in a moment of weakness.
After their passionate night, Felicity harboured some hope that the pair could get back together, but Tane had seemingly already made his mind up as he labelled the night a “mistake” before outlining his plans to move to New Zealand.
In next Wednesday’s (March 27) scenes, Felicity meets up with her brother Cash, who has recently landed a new career as a private investigator after quitting the police force.
As Felicity expresses her happiness for Cash’s new occupation, he puts his skills to the test as he brings up a meeting she had with Xander.
Felicity recalls that she was informing her friend of her fling with Tane, leading Cash to worry that his sister might be harbouring false hope of a reunion.
She turns the tables, however, by saying the one-night stand and Tane’s subsequent reaction has provided her with closure, reinforcing that the pair are over.
With her newfound sense of freedom, will Felicity be able to move on with her life and potentially find a new love interest?
Whilst Felicity and Tane are seemingly no more, UK audiences recently got a glimpse at a new character in the shape of Valerie Beaumont, with Courtney Clarke making her debut on the soap this week.
The character will be involved in a storyline with Leah Patterson and Justin Morgan, which has seen the engaged couple become distant as Leah encouraged the need for space following her stint in a mental health clinic.
Home and Away airs weekdays at 1.45pm on Channel 5, with repeat screenings at 6pm on 5STAR and first look screenings at 6.30pm on 5STAR. Selected classic episodes are available via Prime Video in the UK.
