‘It has done so much for his independence!’: Emmerdale star Harvey Rogerson’s parents share sweet update about his day to day life

Emmerdale star Harvey Rogerson’s mum has shared a sweet update about his life after he won a school award.

The actor, 11, who plays Leo Goskirk in the popular soap, recently went on his first ever school residential trip away.

Last month, his parents revealed on Twitter that Harvey was marking a huge ‘first’ as he went on a school trip for three nights.

They shared a photo of Harvey with his suitcase, beaming excitedly as he got ready to leave.

Alongside they wrote: ‘And just like that he’s off on his first residential school trip, he’s a bit nervous but very excited to have three nights away with his friends… kayaking, climbing, night walks and much more… have the best time Harvey.’

Then on Monday, they took to Twitter again to reveal that Harvey’s trip had been a huge success.

They explained that he had thrown himself into the activities with ‘great enthusiasm’ and even won a special award.

At a ceremony with his classmates, Harvey was awarded with a certificate proclaiming him as ‘top tightrope walker’.

Posting a picture of him holding his certificate, Harvey’s parents wrote: ‘Today we celebrated at a fun awards ceremony for H and his class’ achievements when they were on residential two weeks ago…

‘No surprise H threw himself into everything with the greatest enthusiasm and earned the title of top tightrope walker.’

They gushed: ‘It has done so much for his independence! Good job Harvey.’

Fans took to the comments to praise Harvey and congratulate him on his win.

One said: ‘Well done Harvey, amazing achievement. A beautiful pic of you looking so proud. And so you should’.

Another echoed: ‘Wow that’s a great achievement Harvey, what a champ’.
