Cait Fitton has established herself as a Coronation Street star.
The soap star first joined the Cobbles as Lauren Bolton in October 2022. She was the troubled daughter of Reece Bolton, who had joined a far right extremist group.
She met Max Turner during this storyline and the two were fortunately able to quit the group and attempt to get their lives back on track once Reece and Griff Reynolds were jailed. Lauren temporarily exited Weatherfield to live with her form before she returned on a permanent basis last year.

The character has remained central to the show ever since and is at the centre of the programme’s current major storyline. She was struggling with money problems when she moved in on her own so created an Ovidz account [Coronation Street’s version of an adult social media platform] to supplement her income.
However, this may have got her into trouble as she has recently mysteriously disappeared from Weatherfield and police have launched an investigation. Roy Cropper cleaned her flat so it could be rented to a new tenant and he has since implicated himself as a suspect in Lauren’s murder.
Fans are concerned Lauren may have met a sinister end in the show and actress, Cait, has fuelled the speculation with a subtle change on her Instagram page. She has changed her bio to read “previously Lauren in Coronation Street’ to tease fans she may have exited the cast for good.
If Cait has exited the show, it would bring an end to what she has previously described as a dream role. She said ahead of her first appearance on the Cobbles: “Never in a million years did I think this would be something I’d ever get to achieve and accomplish (ever !!!) but here I am living the dream. MY YOUNGER SELF IS SCREAMING RIGHT NOW.”
Cait is active on social media and enjoys close bonds with her Cobbles co-stars. The soap star celebrated her 22nd birthday this month and was flooded with support by her fellow cast-members.
Liam McCheyne, who plays Dylan Wilson, said: “I did promise no mug shots! But I’m just wishing a very happy birthday to my best friend @caitfitt0n. A year older but still a kid at heart, lol. Thank you for always being there no matter what. Here’s to many more memories.”
Georgia Taylor, who plays Toyah Habeeb, added: “Happiest of birthdays to you darling @caitfitt0n.”
Cait is also close friends with Paddy Bever, who plays Max on the show. The two have previously enjoyed trips to Tenerife together and Cait took to social media platform to send Paddy a special tribute on his 21st birthday last year.
She said: “Happy 21st birthday to my absolute rock. Thank you for coming into my life and making it so much better. I love you bestie.”
However, some fans aren’t so sure that Cait has waved goodbye to her dream role just yet. The soap star took to Instagram to share to share Lauren’s missing poster and are convinced she will soon make a return.
Chris said: “I think she’s still alive just being held somewhere by her abusive ex.”
