ITV Coronation Street Daniel Brocklebank supported as he’s rocked by ‘unfortunate incident’

Coronation Street’s Daniel Brocklebank was supported as he shared an “unfortunate incident”.

The soap star is renowned for his role as BIlly Mayhew on the ITV soap. The character is currently at the centre of a heartbreaking storyline as his onscreen husband, Paul Foreman, has been diagnosed with MND.

Daniel appeared on today’s edition of Lorraine and told host Christine Lampard about the importance of telling this story authentically as Corrie writers worked with MND charities to accurately depict how the condition impacts people. Christine later diverted the conversation away from Corrie as she asked Daniel about his life away from the screen.

Christine later diverted the conversation away from Corrie as she asked Daniel about his life away from the screen.

The host explained Daniel had been rocked by an “unfortunate incident” when his rescue dog had to go to the vets. Daniel explained his pet dog, Jean, has always suffered with respiratory issues since she was first adopted but her breathing “deteriorated rapidly” a month ago.

Daniel was full of praise for the treatment she received but was shocked at the price of the treatment as it was an initial £500 to admit the dog. He said: “The bill was another £1500 on top of the £500 we had already paid.

“If we wanted to keep her in for another 24 hours, it would be another £600.” Daniel said he asked for the itemised bill and was shocked to see paracetamol cost £27.

He said: “I thought that was a huge mark up on a very cheap drug.” Christine supported the star said the prices must have came as a shock to the soap star.

Daniel is the proud owner of three rescue dogs and regularly shares snaps of them on Instagram.
