Coronation Street fans think they have rumbled missing Lauren Bolton’s kidnapper’s downfall.
Soap fans will recall that troubled youngster Lauren abruptly left the cobbles earlier this year and love interest Bobby has been left concerned after he found her flat unlocked with Lauren nowhere to be seen. Soap fans never saw Lauren, who had a mysterious boyfriend prior to her exit, leave and it seems she told no one close to her of her plan to leave Weatherfield aside from Roy Cropper.\
Bobby reported Lauren as missing to the police and Roy has found himself under suspicion due to his kind nature, especially after he was caught innocently cleaning Lauren’s flat, which some people thought proved he was guilty and he was recently wrongly arrested on suspicion of murdering his former employee.
As Lauren’s disappearance grips the cobbles’ residents and soap viewers, fans have been sharing their theories online. Taking to Twitter, now X, viewers have now pointed out Lauren’s kidnapper, if she was indeed kidnapped, downfall as they spotted a clue for the police.

One person said: “I thought the ‘boyfriend’ was calling Lauren’s phone all those times so why can’t they trace it? And surely there’s a camera near Lauren showing who was coming and going? #corrie” while a different account replied: “Cell site data and Lauren’s own phone records (even if her phone gone her phone number would provide call history). And her flat is in the precinct above shops. CCTV very likely…”
Elsewhere, another soap watcher put: “#corrie Just run back the cafe’s CCTV”, a different account put: “No CCTV in Weatherfield? Surley. #corrie”, another said: “Hasn’t the precinct got cctv !! #Corrie” while a different viewer replied: “Strange they haven’t picked her up!”
It comes as during the latest episode, Bobby was left upset after he found an article online about Lauren doing O-Vidz, where he showed Max Turner, who was confused about how the press found out. Bobby suggested it could be Max’s girlfriend Sabrina as the boys set out in search of her.
