Tanisha Gorey has sent a heartfelt message to her Coronation Street co-star.

The soap star is renowned for her role as Asha Alahan on the Cobbles. The character is heading for a difficult period in the soap as spoilers have shown she is set for relationship trouble with Nina Lucas.

Away from the screen, Tanisha keeps her fans updated on her social media channels. The 22-year-old enjoys a close relationship with her co-stars and has taken to Instagram to wish Channique Sterling-Brown a happy birthday as she turned 27 today.

She said: “Happy birthday to this gorgeous woman. I hope you have a day as fabulous as you. Love you lots and lots like jelly tots.”

Channique is renowned for her role as DeeDee Bailey in Corrie. The character has been involved in the soap’s current major storyline as she is defending Roy Cropper after the character was charged with murder.

Roy was sentenced to prison earlier this week and Channique took to Instagram to reveal she battled through injury while filming the courtroom scenes. She said: “Little BTS on tonight’s episode. So much fun filming these big scenes on location as Roy’s Solicitor Advocate, love getting a to play the other side of DeeDee.
