Emmerdale viewers think the identity of the woman Ella Forster was visiting in the care home has been revealed, possibly giving away what her big secret is on the ITV soap

Emmerdale fans are convinced they know who June is, the lady Ella Forster was visiting in a care home, before a sad twist on the ITV soap.

Ella was left bereft when mystery June was confirmed to have passed away by a worker at the home. Just a day on from visiting June and making some cryptic comments, she was left distraught to find out she had passed away that evening.

But it was these comments she said to June and a suspicious Manpreet Sharma that has left fans believing they now know who June really is, and her link to Ella. After weeks of speculation she could be linked to past villain Meena Jutla, some fans are veering away from this theory now, with a family link “sealed” between June and Ella.

Fans are also predicting a family tragedy is the reason for Ella’s secretive behaviour, and the fact she likely used a different name when signing in at the care home. This could also explain why the nurse told her only relatives were allowed to have June’s possessions after her death, with some fans wondering if she was estranged or under a new identity.

During Thursday’s episode, Ella’s secret was hinted at even more as she went to visit the mystery lady, who had dementia, at a care home. Together they looked at an old photo album, where they stopped at an old picture of June working with all the girls at a cigarette factory.

June then asked: “Were we once very sad about something?” to which Ella stayed quiet. Ella also seemed keen to take a photo of a woman and a baby from the care home, and fans are convinced Ella was the baby in the picture.

According to the theory, Ella was visiting her grandmother June, the woman in the picture holding her as a tot. Fans think Ella was estranged from the family after committing a terrible crime, and after changing her identity she may have continued to visit her grandmother in secret or against the family’s wishes.

If June is not her grandmother, fans have questioned whether she is instead the gran or mum of another person linked to Ella, and perhaps Ella caused their death. Taking to social media, one fan posted: “It’s definitely her mam or grandma and I think she’s estranged from her family for what she did.

“She went to prison so she’s changed her name, her name won’t be down as a visiting relative and the lady with dementia wouldn’t know anything.” Another fan said: “I think she was the baby in the photo so maybe it’s her gran.”

Some fans noticed Ella called the woman June and not ‘nan’ or”mum’ though, leading to a theory that Ella was adopted by someone else or even June, and that’s their link. Then again if Ella is hiding her identity, perhaps not to confuse her she called her by her name.
