Emmerdale viewers were left stunned after a shock split was hinted at in Tuesday night’s dramatic episode.
Fans of the soap will remember that on Monday, Manpreet Sharma, under the influence of alcohol, made an advance towards personal trainer Billy Fletcher, which he promptly rebuffed. The scene unfolded during a gathering organised by Ella Forster at The Woolpack to lift Manpreet’s spirits.
Manpreet has been under considerable stress recently, dealing with a complaint from Ruby Fox-Miligan at her surgery and awkwardly turning down a proposal from partner Charles Anderson. As the ladies prepared for their evening out, they were joined by Charles’ mother, Claudette Anderson, much to Manpreet’s surprise.
Despite an uncomfortable beginning, Claudette soon warmed up and even agreed to partake in a drink. As things got boozy, the ladies got more comfortable with one another.
The group quickly became merry, and it wasn’t long before Ella noticed Manpreet flirting with Billy at the bar. She took Manpreet aside for a chat, where Manpreet confessed her crush on Billy, reports the Mirror.
Ella promised to keep her secret. But warned Manpreet not to act on her feelings.
