Emmerdale’s Laurel Thomas (played by Charlotte Bellamy) will find herself in a terrifying situation in upcoming scenes. Official spoilers for the ITV soap reveal her health is about to take a turn.
When her husband Jai Sharma (Chris Bisson) admits to Laurel that he can’t face telling his half-brother Suni Sharma (Brahmdeo Shannon) the truth, she’s furious. As their argument becomes heated, Jai insults Ashley.
Seething, Laurel sends Jai away, not wanting their row to escalate even more. However, when she’s alone things take a turn.
It’s not long before she starts to feel dizzy and collapses on the floor. Terrified by what’s happening to her, Laurel is barely able to move as her phone starts to ring. However, she’s unable to reach it due to her situation.
When Gabby Thomas (Rosie Bentham) finds Laurel struggling to breathe, she fearfully asks her stepdaughter to call an ambulance quickly.
Deciding to finally tell Suni the truth, Jai sits him down in The Hide and tries to build up the conversation he needs to have, despite his brother’s rambling
However, with Gabby’s constant calls, Jai suddenly snaps although his anger subsides when he learns Laurel’s collapsed.
Has the stress of discovering Jai’s secret become too much for Laurel to cope with?
In recent scenes, fans of the ITV soap saw Laurel discover the truth about Jai and Amit Sharma (Anil Goutam).
A few months ago, viewers will remember that Amit killed Jai’s father Rishi Sharma (Bhasker Patel) after pushing him down the stairs.
After growing suspicious of Amit, Jai forced a confession out of him after copying what he had done to Rishi, pushing him down the same flight of stairs that his father died on.
In a bid to get revenge, Jai forced Amit to cut his other son, Suni, out of the ownership of the HOP.
Making sure he never returned, Jai told Amit that he needed to leave the village for good without saying goodbye and if he ever returned he’d tell everyone the truth.
However, Eric Pollard (Chris Chittell) discovered what had happened and started to blackmail Jai in a bid to keep his mouth shut.
Although with Laurel growing suspicious of Eric, Jai told her a warped version of the truth, leaving her furious he conned Suni out of his own inheritance.
Speaking about the current storyline, actor Chris Bisson teased that Jai’s sinister side will be returning.
He said: “I think he is going to become a bit more ruthless. He feels he has been taken for a bit of a fool and he feels like that is never going to happen again.”
“So yes maybe Bad Jai is back! And do you know what I quite like bad Jai. He’s fun to play!”
