Coronation Street star Jack P Shepherd shocked fans when he announced his engagement to long-term girlfriend Hanni Treweek this weekend.
His fiancée Hanni took to her social media page on Sunday to announce the exciting news, posting: “05.06.24 I said YES to forever!!!” The happy couple looked head over heels for each other as they posed for photos with them eagerly planting a kiss on each other’s lips and looking adorable as they matched their outfits with beige-coloured shirts.
Before he got engaged to Hanni, the star was in a long-term relationship with a woman named Lauren Shippey who he had been with since 2002. The ex couple shares two children, a daughter named Nyla and a son called Reuben. However, their relationship hit the rocks in 2010 when the actor hit headlines due to his infidelity.
It was reported that he cheated on his girlfriend with sales executive Sammy Milewski, who became pregnant as a result. The pair broke up but later reunited, with Jack going on to pop the question to Lauren with a £3,000 ring. Jack also apologised for any “hurt” he had caused his family

At the time, he released a statement apologising to Lauren and his child, writing: “On Sunday, there were some articles printed about errors I have made in my private life. Over the years, I have enjoyed a successful career with Coronation Street, and with this, I have experienced privileges that have exceeded my own expectations.
“The core ingredients to my success have come from the following areas; my family, ITV Granada, and specifically my girlfriend Lauren and daughter Nyla. I would like to apologise to my family, for all the hurt and pain I have caused them, to ITV Granada for letting them down, and especially to Lauren and Nyla, who are the most important people in my life. I now need to concentrate on what is really important, my family and my career, as I have abused my position as an employee, partner and father, and for that I am deeply sorry.”
Although she initially forgave him, they ended up breaking up in 2017, and they vowed to remain close friends for their kids. Not only does he have two children with Lauren, he also shares a son Greyson with Sammy but has reportedly never met the child. He does pay child support after he found out he was the dad following a DNA test.
Unfortunately, the child suffers from an incurable genetic disorder called alternating hemiplegia. The disorder paralyses parts of his body and leaves him in extreme pain. In 2014, Sammy discussed her disappointment at his refusal to meet Greyson.
She told The Mirror: “His father has not been in his life. I don’t know why because we don’t speak but I imagine it’s that he’s not wanted to. I would like my son to have a father in his life but how can you feel sad for something he’s never had? I guess it’s sad in itself to say that.”
