Kate Ritchie shared her Anzac cookie recipe on Wednesday as she whipped up a batch of the sweet treats for her radio star colleagues at Nova.
The former Home and Away star, 45, shared a video and several snaps to Instagram which saw the actress getting her hands dirty in the kitchen.
Slipping on an apron, the radio host took her followers through the traditional recipe step-by-step as she baked a ‘mountain’ of about 40 rolled oats biscuits.
‘Ahead of Anzac Day, I think it would be rude not to make a batch of Anzac biscuits,’ Kate began her video as she stood surrounded by ingredients in her kitchen.
‘Considering it is such a traditional day, I am going to get my recipe from a very traditional cookbook by the Country Women’s Association.’
Kate went on to reveal her recipe comes from a book titled Jam Drops and Marble Cake which contains ‘over 60 years of award winning’ dishes from the non-profit.
The video then showed a montage of the former soap star following along with the recipe which includes rolled oats, desiccated coconut, plain flour, and butter.
Kate also changed out her cup of sugar for brown sugar before adding salt, golden syrup, bicarb soda, and boiling water.
She mixed the dry and liquid ingredients into separate bowls, adding the bicarb soda to the liquids, before mixing both bowls together.
Finally, Kate spooned the mixture onto two greased trays and baked them at 180 degrees Celsius for 10 to 12 minutes.
The media personality wrapped her video by showing off the delicious treats she made and ‘honouring’ the Australian troops.
