Amy Roloff of Little People, Big World has never been one to bite her tongue, especially after Matt Roloff shared he was implementing some new farm rules. Matt and Amy never had a steady marriage as their issues played out over multiple seasons of the TLC show. Even though the couple is now divorced, the move hasn’t stopped Amy from voicing her opinion when it really matters.
Matt was often seen as the ideas guy who would go to any length to enhance Roloff Farms. Sadly, Amy usually came across as the grumpy parent who was left to discipline her children and bring everyone back to reality after a major project. It was clear that much of the former couple’s tension came from how to run the family farm. Whether it was scaling back major remodeling jobs or Matt trying to steal Amy’s pumpkin salsa idea, the two couldn’t get on the same page.
Matt Roloff Explains Why He Is Renting
During a recent episode of Little People, Big World, Matt made it clear that there would be some significant changes around Roloff Farms which left Amy flabbergasted. While Amy had hoped that Matt would have sold her half to their sons, that has not been the case as a major feud broke out in the family. Instead, Matt has now decided to turn the big house into a B&B. The news left Amy and their children upset, with Matt noting any family member could still stay at the home for free.
Amy Hates Matt’s Compromise
During the Little People, Big World episode, Matt announced that he would allow any Roloff family member to reserve the rental home at “no cost,” noting they can block time out for the family. TLC viewers noticed that while explaining that Jeremy, Audrey, Chris, and Amy could stay for free, Matt conveniently left Zach and Tori off of the list. Without holding back, Amy told Matt he must be “high” for thinking any of his four children would want to come back and stay on the family farm after such a personal fight occurred.
Both Zach and Jeremy tried their best to come to a deal with their father, but after the patriarch price gauged the twins, they both decided to move on with their lives. Zach moved out of state to Battleground, WA, while Jeremy bought his own farm only eight minutes away from his childhood home. Matt then tried to sell the land to strangers, but no one was willing to pay the $4 million price tag, forcing Matt to come up with plan B. It’s no wonder Amy’s concerned about the new rules. Hopefully, more will be revealed in new episodes of Little People, Big World.
