Matthew reportedly enjoyed a string of dates with Heather before his split from wife and former co-star Charley was publicly announced.
The actor was again seen walking hand-in-hand with Heather in London last week as the pair enjoyed one another’s company.
A source told The Sun : ‘They looked like honeymooners, or loved-up teenagers. The pictures will prove a shock to the heart for poor Charley, even as her relationship with Matthew unraveled.’
MailOnline contacted representatives for Matthew and Heather for comment.
Matthew and wife Charley announced their split earlier this month. The stars, who met while both working on Emmerdale, shared news of their split on Instagram.
Charley’s statement read: ‘It is with love and respect that Matthew and I have decided to separate. We remain friends and our priority is the love for our children. For their sake we would appreciate privacy at this time.’
Signs of trouble in their marriage first emerged earlier this month when Matthew unfollowed his wife on Instagram.
It was noted that the soap star had not shared any photos of Charley over the past year or commented on any of her recent pictures.
