Tonight’s episode reveals shocking new details about Joel Deering’s involvement in Lauren Bolton’s disappearance and apparent death. Earlier this year, Lauren, who had been severely abused by Joel, went missing and was presumed dead. However, she later reappeared, revealing that she was pregnant with Joel’s child. In a bid to cover his tracks, Joel drugged Lauren to induce early labor, knowing the baby would tie him to her.

In a chilling sequence, Joel orchestrated a brutal mugging that left Lauren terrified and her phone stolen. He then prepared a meal for her, mixing the medication into her food, and promised to replace her stolen phone. Instead, he locked her in their apartment, where she went into labor. Thankfully, Lauren’s friend Max Turner tracked her down using a phone app, leading to a dramatic rescue by the fire department.

Joel, who was initially unaware of Lauren’s predicament, was shocked to learn that his child had survived and was in the Special Care unit. With his plan unraveling, Joel’s next moves are uncertain as he desperately tries to silence Lauren and cover his crimes.

Meanwhile, Alina Pop returns to Coronation Street, brought back by Tyrone Dobbs’ mother, Cassie Plumber, who is determined to involve herself in her son’s life. Alina, last seen in 2021, is back to testify in a trial concerning a Romanian trafficking ring. Cassie becomes entangled in Alina’s return, leading to further complications.

In other dramatic turns, Jack Webster’s confession about setting a fire at Stefan Brent’s office adds another layer of intrigue. The fire, which had been linked to deep fake footage and a complex feud between Stefan and the Websters, was revealed to be part of Jack’s revenge plan. As Jack faces charges for arson, tensions rise within the Webster family.

Next week, Lean Battersby’s cold behavior towards her sister Toya, who is battling cancer, adds to the drama. Lean’s refusal to support Toya, following advice from the Institute’s leader Rowan Cliff, creates a rift in her relationships, leading Nick to grow closer to Toya.
