following Samson’s departure. Moira has been deeply affected since her son, Maddie Barton,

was wrongfully imprisoned for allegedly stabbing Samson Dingle earlier this year. Although Samson eventually confessed to lying and Maddie was released, Moira is still struggling with feelings of betrayal from the Dingle family for not supporting her son.

In the episode airing on August 8th, Moira appears to be struggling with her emotions. She snapped at Maddie, telling him to “man up” when he expressed concerns about Samson coping in prison. Later, Moira apologized for her outburst but was soon seen arguing with her husband, Cain. Moira accused Cain of not appreciating her contributions to their household and expressed frustration over his decision to teach Samson to fight before his incarceration.

Their argument escalates, with Cain accusing Moira of being ungrateful, leading to a tense exchange where Moira criticized Cain’s words. Cain’s suggestion for Moira to see a doctor only further fuels her frustration. Moira was later found asleep on the couch during the day, claiming exhaustion from a busy week.

Moira confided in Maddie about her feelings of alienation from Cain, who, in turn, suggested she see a professional. At the Woolpack, Maddie and Cain discussed Moira’s state and agreed it might be beneficial for her to seek medical help. Meanwhile, back at the farm, Moira was seen drinking alone, taking shots of alcohol and bringing the bottle with her, signaling her ongoing struggle.
