Last week, EastEnders released a photo showing the actress for the first time in character as Lola Pearce’s mum Emma Harding

And on Boxing Day, Patsy Kensit, 54, took to Instagram to share a snap of herself completely naked in the bath, with her hands positioned strategically to protect her modesty.

The seasoned soap actress was make-up free for the sultry photograph, with her blonde tresses worn up atop her head.

The actress, who has previously starred in Emmerdale and Holby City, will make her debut on Albert Square next month.

Despite the appearance being a short stint, Patsy’s time will certainly be eventful as she’ll be part of the emotional storyline that will see Lola lose her battle with terminal brain cancer.

Patsy revealed appearing on the BBC soap ‘has always been a dream’ of hers, saying:

‘I’m so excited to be visiting Walford for this storyline. It has always been a dream of mine to appear in EastEnders.

‘The cast, producers, writers and crew have been wonderful, and I’ve had a ball. Thank you so much for having me’.

A source told The Sun: ‘Bosses are thrilled they have managed to get Patsy for this role. She’s a great actress and is about to play a part in one of their biggest current storylines.’

MailOnline contacted representatives of EastEnders and Patsy for comment at the time.

Her character Emma has never appeared in the soap before, having abandoned Lola (Danielle Harold) and her father when her daughter was just three years old.

Danielle, who plays Lola is set to leave the soap following the storyline.

Back in 2019, former model Patsy told of her interest in heading to Walford and becoming the new Peggy Mitchell.
