Meanwhile, Leanne Battersby grows increasingly alarmed by Rowan Cliffs and Rees Cooper’s actions, especially after witnessing how they’ve treated Amy Barlow. Leanne stumbles upon troubling data on Rowan’s computer, which reveals multiple shocking truths.
Joel doesn’t back down and threatens Lauren during a hospital visit, only to discover DD is also there. DD’s report of Joel’s threat leads Lisa to uncover that Joel previously worked for a company named Walats, which aids vulnerable youth.
Jack gears up for his court day, and Kevin chats with him while Abby observes a heated confrontation between Stefan and a woman named Coral in the corridor. Coral later introduces herself to Abby, disclosing that she’s Stefan’s wife.
In other news, Paul is thrilled when Gemma arrives with Joseph and the quads at the flower shop flat, getting ready for their first school day. Illy captures the moment with photos, but Betsy is devastated when she learns from Dylan that she’s not ready for a new relationship, suggesting they stay friends instead.
Leanne convinces Amy to reconsider her lawsuit against the institute after offering her job back at the café. Amy receives a chilling voicemail from an unknown number, which drives her to flee. Leanne later meets Rowan, and while he is called to reception, she searches his laptop and uncovers files on Leanne and Nick, as well as Toya.
Betsy tries to confront her mother about Mason’s threats but finds Lisa distracted, leading Betsy to leave in frustration. Carla reassures Betsy that her mother loves her and advises patience. At the station, Lisa questions Kit about evidence found on Nathan.
Paul is busy recording a manifesto for Billy but faces technical issues when his synthesizer dies. Summer steps in to help and encourages Billy to take a break while Paul rests. Summer’s assistance raises questions about whether she can support Paul through this.
As Jack’s sentencing approaches, Abby hugs Kevin and Jack as they prepare to leave. Leanne summons Nick to the bistro, hinting at more revelations. Kit asks David to contact the flower shop apartment for a haircut for Paul, and David tries to persuade a reluctant Billy to join him for a drink.
Paul and Kit agree to focus on making up for lost time, while Lisa and Carla bond after Carla expresses her frustrations with Betsy. Carla meets with a potential supplier at The Chariot Square Hotel and, upon Joel’s arrival, boldly announces his violent past to everyone present.
