Two TV legends exits ‘sealed’ as Emmerdale villain strikes again

With the Euros at an end, the soaps resume their typical broadcast schedule and, as confirmed in my spoilers, there are many a must-see moment on the way.

EastEnders finally gives us answers regarding what Ian Beale is hiding while Emmerdale sees Samson Dingle confess to his crimes.

About time!

Coronation Street, meanwhile, sees Lauren Bolton attempt to make things right with Roy Cropper as she returns to the eponymous street.

Exits are the subject of much discussion in Hollyoaks and Neighbours, with the fates of legendary characters Scott Drinkwell and Toadie Rebecchi called into question.

Scott faces death while Toadie contemplates a life away from Ramsay Street after a blast – or two – from the past.

It’s going to be quite a week so how about I give you a run down of all the key moments to watch out for? Go on, you know you’re curious to find out what’s coming up!

Ian’s behaviour continues to raise suspicions, with Cindy wondering if he’s having an affair. Ian reassures her that he absolutely is not before heading off to a mysterious address. Determined to get to the bottom of things, Cindy forces George to drive her to the address in question. Cindy and George confront Ian in a big showdown just as Peter and Bobby arrive. But just what is Ian hiding?

Roy’s nurse confirms that his visitor was a young girl with blonde hair, leaving both Dee-Dee and Nina reeling as they check the CCTV to confirm if it was Lauren. Roy is delighted as he believes that Lauren is alive but Nina is furious that she left it this long to return and clear his name.

When Roy is released from hospital, Lauren pays him a visit and apologises for what he went through. Will Roy be able to forgive her?

Sam wants Samson to evade justice and do a moonlight flit. Lydia, however, is keen for him to do the right thing. Samson ultimately does the right thing, heading to the place station to confess the truth, leaving Sam seething with Lydia as he takes his frustration out on Cain. Matty, meanwhile, returns to his cell after the attack but, despite word of Samson’s confession reaching him, he fears what’s to come, with transphobic Robbo waiting for him.

Lucas and Dillon are on the receiving end of Tom’s wrath as he starts a poster campaign to discredit their business. But the boys receive support from Liberty, who signs them up to work for her, proving Tom very wrong.

Aaron and Logan’s shared grief turns to passion in Neighbours

Aaron visits Logan, despite knowing the truth about who he is, and the pair regale each other with stories of David’s life, bonding over their shared grief and love for David. After an emotional day, Aaron tells Logan that he doesn’t want him to go – and the two share a steamy kiss!

Anna goes on a night out with Gina and Freddie, but there’s soon concern that she might’ve been spiked. When the group look for Anna, they can’t find her anywhere. Anna later wakes up in the hospital. Gina urges her to report the incident to the police but she doesn’t want to.

Carla comes across the group of youths who were hassling Roy and she gives them a piece of her mind. But as she gets into her car, one of the teens comes towards her as she opens her door, which knocks him off his bike! Betsy, meanwhile, takes advantage of Carla, which causes chaos at the factory.

Tom continues to make Belle feel guilty about the termination and secretly plots to put some distance between her and her family.

Jeremy tries to make amends with Maxine, who is still terrified of him. Dilly, however, finds a shirt covered in blood. Freya reveals that Scott has gone missing and was last seen having a row with Jeremy. Determined to locate Scott, Maxine confides in Pearl and Zoe that she thinks something is wrong. At Jeremy’s shed, Maxine can hear Scott’s phone ringing.

Toadie works on the repairs to the roof at No. 30. A song comes on that reminds him of Sonya, which leads to him becoming overwhelmed with emotion. If that wasn’t nostalgic enough, he receives a postcard from Dee! Toadie confides in Karl about the strange timing of such reminders, with Karl recommending that he talk to Terese about how he’s feeling.

EastEnders airs Mondays to Thursdays at 7:30pm on BBCOne. Coronation Street airs Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays at 8pm on ITV. Emmerdale airs weeknights at 7:30pm on ITV. Hollyoaks streams weeknights at 7:30pm on Channel 4 streaming and airs on E4 at 7pm. Neighbours streams Monday to Thursday from 7am on Amazon Freevee.
