Bernard and Sonya Curry have listed their mid-century-style Burwood East home for sale with a price guide of $1.2million – $1.3million.
The Wentworth actor, 50, is set to auction off the property he has filmed many of his audition tapes in on May 11 through Jellis Craig Whitehorse.
After purchasing the three-bedroom house with his wife in 2021, the soap star embarked on a ‘modern renovation’, reported realestate.com.au late last month.
I did a lot of the renovating myself with my brother Andrew, we’re both quite handy. It was a great excuse to buy new tools,’ Bernard told the publication.
‘My favourite room is the kitchen, I do most of the food preparation in the family. It’s a just a joy to cook in.’
The Neighbours star outfitted the kitchen with a beautiful stone breakfast bar, Smeg oven, induction cooktop, and an integrated microwave and dishwasher to boot.
With stunning parkland views in a quiet cul-de-sac neighbourhood, Bernard said buyers will ‘get a great sense of space’ adding that ‘it’s just beautiful’.
The Home and Away actor also converted the under-house car park into a self-contained studio which includes its own powder room and separate entrance.
Jellis Craig Whitehorse director Stephen Le Get will be handling the sale, with Bernard saying he didn’t expect to put his home on the market so soon.
However, he went on to tell the publication he and Sonya wished to move to Brisbane as soon as possible after she received an ‘amazing opportunity’.
Sonya recently landed a role in the Queensland Performing Arts Centre as the Head of Safety.
